from her long poem EVERY LINES OTHER:

When language can flow like the body,
breathing out and in and in and out...
Angels stand like children
words grateful for music
and fingers dancing with marker:
Language elevates, music ennervates.

final information about the memorial procession/parade & party for Lyx:

Saturday March 6

Try to arrive by 1:00 PM- the walk will begin at 1:30.

We leave from Lyx's house in La Farge. It's easy to find - it's behind the hardware store on Main Street.

Lafarge is a two-hour drive west of Madison. Take 14 west to Richland Center; take 80 north out of Richland Center to hwy 56.  Take 56 west to Viola, then take 131 north to Lafarge.

If you haven't been there before, it would be wise to have a good road map.

~Bring carryable artsy things and soundmakers if you wish to.

~Bring warm clothes and boots.

The procession will end up on the nearby Kickapoo Valley Reserve, and we may well stay and play there for a while. Those unable to walk a couple of miles will be able to park close to the destination. After the gathering, we will proceed to the Lafarge community center for food and further revelry including a previously scheduled performance of the band One Drum {a band that Lyx enjoyed.}
